Proper care for your baby carrier is important to prolong the life of your carrier. The following is a general guide to proper washing of several different types of carriers including different fiber blends.

It is strongly recommend you read and follow the manufacturer instructions regarding proper washing for your carrier. Many manufacturers' warranties are void if proper washing care is not followed.

Cotton

Cotton slings can be washed in warm water up to 60C/140F.  Most manufacturers suggest to tumble dry on low.  Be aware that cotton is known to shrink.  Many manufacturers hem the wraps at a longer than listed length to allow for slight shrinkage.   

Linen and Hemp Blends

These blends can be washed in temperatures up to 90C/190F (hot).  Most manufacturers suggest to tumble dry on low.  

Wool or Cashmere Blends

Take extra care in washing wool and cashmere to avoid felting.   

Silk Blend

Be sure to wash your silk with extra caution to the temperature of the water as well as temperature changes.
